Andrew Booher

Principal

Andy is a registered architect who focuses on the personal relationships that are an essential aspect to each step of the life cycle of a project, from conception to completion. He values the collaborative process that is inherent to a successful project, and the interrelationships that are developed as part of that process. He has been involved in numerous Educational, Religious and Higher Ed projects of all sizes, ranging from the small and intensely detailed, to the large and highly complex. Throughout the process Andy places a high value on his relationship with the client, and how their partnership helps translate the original concept to a built reality that embodies the client’s vison.

Coming from a background that includes both design and construction, Andy has a keen awareness of how the architect’s documents can, and should, be carefully crafted to foster the construction process. Having worked for a time in a residential and light commercial design-build sector, he has had the hands-on experience of literally building what he designed. This experience has given Andy a deeply held respect and appreciation for the ultimate importance that the construction process plays in the architectural industry. Good design isn’t just what’s visible – it is equally present in the unseen details.

When away from work Andy enjoys spending time with family (4 children and 3 grandkids) and travelling with his wife, Jennifer. He likes to remain active through regular running and outdoor activities such as backpacking and the occasional round of golf. He is active in his church and other ministry opportunities, and loves to put his design and construction experience to work through various service projects. Andy looks forward to revisiting the days of youth sports and activities when the new grandkids reach that age!
